CPW (Commercial Processing Workload)

CPW

IBM's relative performance metric for sizing IBM i systems, used to compare capacity across processor features and generations.

CPW is IBM's own commercial workload benchmark, most commonly used for IBM i sizing. A Power 730 Express 4-core 3.0 GHz feature is rated at 44,600 CPW; comparing CPW across generations (rather than raw core count) is the correct way to size a replacement.
