EOSL (End of Service Life)

EOSL

Often used interchangeably with EOS, though some vendors distinguish EOSL as the final point after which even third-party or extended support is not commercially viable.

In IBM's own terminology, EOS (end of service) is the operative term; EOSL is more common in the broader IT asset management and TPM industry. For practical purposes on this site, treat them as referring to the same milestone unless a specific vendor draws a finer distinction.
