EOS (End of Service)
The date IBM stops providing standard hardware maintenance, machine code updates, and parts commitments for a specific model.
End of Service (EOS) is a per-model date. For Power7, EOS was September 30, 2019 for standard models and December 31, 2020 for the POWER7+ refresh. EOS does not mean the hardware stops working -- it means IBM stops officially maintaining it.
